Open Textbook Workshop: Train the Trainer

A workshop for 1-2 OER champions from each community college campus Friday, March 4th, 2016 9:00 am PCC Sylvania, Oak Room (Cafeteria/College Campus/CC building) 12000 SW 49th Ave, Portland, OR 97219 Sarah Cohen and Dave Ernst from the Open Textbook Network will lead a train-the-trainer workshop. After the workshop, you will be prepared to return to your college and offer an Open Textbook Workshop – with the support of the train-the-trainer cohort. The workshop that you will be trained to offer orients faculty to the basics of OER and then offers a $200 stipend for them to write a review of a textbook in the Open Textbook Library within 6 weeks of your workshop. You should select a date for the workshop that you will offer on your campus before you register for this session. Open Oregon funding will pay for faculty stipends.
